ESL has partnered up with PUBG Mobile and opened a new studio in Katowice, Poland, to house esports events. The new facility in Katowice will be dedicated to PUBG Mobile and house competitions for the game in a LAN environment.
Vice-president of product operations and strategy in publisher development at ESL, Fabian Scheuermann, released a statement about his excitement in joining forces with PUBG Mobile:

We are very excited to support PUBG Mobile in growing as a truly global esports title, sharing our expertise on how to successfully create an open competition on all levels. In the current climate, it is important that all involved in the esports community act in a way that protects both our long-term future and our immediate concerns for the safety of our competitors. PUBG Mobile and ESL together can achieve this, culminating in a high-class esports ecosystem.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, it is unclear when the first event for PUBG Mobile will take place at the new facility. But, there will be two seasons for PUBG Mobile's World League in 2020, so these will more than likely be events housed at the facility once rules and regulations surrounding mass gatherings are lifted or softened.
