ESL One Hamburg 2018: Day 2 Recap ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Second day of ESL One Hamburg 2018 started with the highlight series between Vici Gaming and Team Secret, who share the first and second spots of Group A. The first match was even more prominent due to creative picks from Puppey: Axe pos5, Rubick pos4 and Bounty Hunter as offlaner. Secret lost this match but won the second one.

Secret later in the day beat Alliance 2:0 in two quick games. In the last match of group B, Evil Geniuses took a game from Vici with Drow Ranger and Templar Assassin.

Mineski and Alliance are the most likely candidates to leave the tournament after poor results in the group stage.

After the second day of ESL One Hamburg 2018, EVOS Esports lost their chance to get into playoffs. Yesterday EVOS lost 2:0 to Forward and Aster, landing with a 7:1 overall score. Today they will play their final match of the group vs Virtus.Pro. EVOS went to Germany because TNC Predator, the winners of Southeast Asia Qualifier, withdrew from the tournament.

Team Aster hasn’t lost a match during ESL One Hamburg yet. Yesterday they swept the floor with compLexity and EVOS, securing the first place in Group B. VP most likely will be the other team to go to the upper bracket through second place. To drop to the third place, they need to lose 2 games to EVOS and Forward must win 2 games from Aster.

compLexity might be dropping from the tournament today, unless they win both games vs NiP.

During the day teams picked Troll Warlord twice, who isn’t popular in the current meta — NiP vs Forward and EG vs Mineski. In both cases Trill managed to carry the match to victory.
