ESL One Birmingham 2019: Day Three ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

The last day of ESL One Birmingham group stage had no major surprises.

In Group A, Team Liquid and OG were equal in their match and thus made it possible for TNC to take second place in case if they have a victory over NiP. The Philippine team did not miss their chance: a triumph over the Europeans and a place in the top playoff grid against ViCi Gaming, who dealt with FWD and won the deserved first place.

In Group B there was a little more clarity. Evil Geniuses guaranteed themselves a place in the top grid on the second day, so it is difficult to judge what their defeat was to PSG.LGD on the last day actually was: the usual promiscuity in a game without a goal or a demonstration of the Chinese team's real strength. To reach the lower grid, Gambit Esports just had to beat Keen Gaming, and the Russian team managed to. The second place of the lower bracket was taken by Team Secret after the victory over Alliance.

After the group stage was completed, the first matches of the top grid of the playoffs took place.

PSG.LGD overcame the resistance of ViCi Gaming counterparts without much difficulty, and Evil Geniuses surrendered one map to TNC  but still managed to get on. Evil Geniuses are setting up for a rematch against PSG.LGD, while VG and TNC will be waiting for their rivals in the lower bracket.
