According to a report from DBLTAP, ESL has scheduled in-person meetings with teams in order to get them to commit to an agreement to participate in the ESL Pro League. These commital agreements have become more common recently due to overlapping schedules from different organizers and the want for the top teams to compete at their events.
A more recent instance of this was with a tournament organizer called B Site. B Site was offering partial ownership of the league for organizations, but it came with a price tag of $2 million dollars. Cloud9 and Immortals Gaming Club, the owners of MIBR, is rumored to be leading the charge on the creation of the league. Organizations such as Astralis, MAD Lions, Dignitas, and Gen.G have expressed varying levels of interest in the league with B Site.
The confirmed list of teams to meet with ESL are 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, ENCE, fnatic, G2, Astralis, Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, FaZe, Natus Vincere, mousesports, and Complexity with the possibility of others as well.
