ESL announces qualifying process for Pro League Season 12

ESL announces qualifying process for Pro League Season 12 ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!
ESL has announced a new qualifying process for teams to get into Pro League Season 12 after cutting the league to just 24 teams, formerly 48. Teams will have two ways to get into Season 12. One will be through the MDL Global Challenge, which makes MDL viable again where before it wasn't. The other is through regional qualifiers, where a large group of invite teams will compete against the worst placed teams from Season 11. The qualifiers will take place on April 21-22.
This announcement from ESL comes after B Site League's announcement of their open qualifier process and schedule. While this might be a coincidence, it is interesting that both leagues released qualifier information just hours from each other.
The competition between the two organizers continues to wage on in 2020. Now, we wait for the top tier teams to announce which league they will join and play under for the new season.
