Team Secret didn't experience any problems in Group A, as we predicted. Puppey and the teammates scored four wins in four maps and confirmed their status as the main favourites of the tournament. PaiN Gaming had another result: the representatives of South America were able to win only one map against Fnatic, which isn't in good shape now. PaiN couldn't impose the fight for the Top-2.

The situation for the second place was more interesting. We hoped that Fnatic would do their best and be able to become the first after Secret, but the Asian team failed. Five maps against Royal Never Give Up ended in Chinese team (1:4) favour. At the same time, RNG left no stone unturned in the second match. We want to highlight Monet's game (again) - the player tore his opponents apart today, and even managed to make a Rampage!

Everything went much more fun in Group B. We thought that Team Liquid wouldn't be able to show much power, and Evil Geniuses will be in the Top-2, but it turned out all the way around. Liquid was able to win two matches with a 2:1 score and take first place in the group. Gambit Esports didn't let EG to get into the Upper Bracket. Boolk's wards showed their readiness for the tournament, and their game looks good.

Therefore, we can expect further surprises from Gambit, but one thing is already clear: if Virtus.pro can get into the Upper Bracket tomorrow, then we could say that they get rid of the "CIS Dota 2 curse". "Bears" will hold their matches tomorrow together with seven other teams in Groups C and D
