Fortnite has provided Creative mode for a few months now, and the community was pretty inventive while coming up with fresh and engaging ideas. Unfortunately, there wasn’t an official way to submit creations directly to Epic for review, but it’s all changing – starting now. The developers have outlined the official recommendations and provided the community with a comprehensive guide.
For starters, the creations are divided into two separate categories – Featured Islands and Blocks. Islands are considered as separate entertainments, which means that these creations should be complete games that provide a within Fortnite and should have a clear set of rules and a unique style. Blocks are smaller creations mostly focused on delivering visual satisfaction. These are closer to traditional Minecraft builds that are being created for the purpose of fulfilling your architectural desires – with the only exception that the best Blocks are featured on a dedicated area in Battle Royale. It’s pretty obvious, that Blocks have a lot more extensive list of requirements since these creations are being used is a highly dynamic game mode.
Community created Blocks need to have clear navigation, engaging level design, strictly measured resources and cleverly positioned loot drops, thoughtful interior and exterior layout, etc. The full list of requirements is available through this link, while you can find the submission form here.
