Epic Games expands the Fortnite Android beta testing

You don’t need a Samsung Galaxy to play Fortnite on your smartphone any longer

Ha! That happened quicker than we expected. Epic Games announced they’re expanding Fortnite beta to other Android devices besides Samsung Galaxy series. 

Following the link you will be able to sign up for the beta testing. But don’t forget the devs specifically said you’d need a powerful device in order to play the game comfortably. It’s just you don’t need a Samsung phone to do that. 

The list of supported devices for the beta is as follows: 

Samsung Galaxy: S7 / S7 Edge, S8 / S8+, S9 / S9+, Note 8, Note 9, Tab S3, Tab S4
Google: Pixel / Pixel XL, Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL
Asus: ROG Phone, Zenfone 4 Pro, 5Z, V
Essential: PH-1
Huawei: Honor 10, Honor Play, Mate 10 / Pro, Mate RS, Nova 3, P20 / Pro, V10
LG: G5, G6, G7 ThinQ, V20, V30 / V30+

Rumors are that Epic Games are working on technology that will allow players match based on type of peripheral that they use to play the game. It’s also unfortunate that the devs decided to avoid Google Play store which reportedly leads to Google losing about $50,000,000
