Esports tournament organizer ELEAGUE has signed a partnership deal with advertising company Anzu. ELEAGUE will receive a new format of brand advertising as part of the agreement.
Details regarding the length and monetary value of the partnerships have not yet been disclosed. However, just having access to Anzu’s global advertising network for ELEAGUE’s sponsors to leverage is already exceptional value. Anzu is currently in a strong position right now as it raised $6.5 million in Series A funding back in August.
Turner Sports SVP of Ad Sales, Seth Ladetsky commented on the deal in a release:
“ELEAGUE and Anzu’s partnership is a significant milestone in evolving esports advertising innovation. We are consistently developing new avenues to advance esports advertising and introduce partners to this passionate community. Anzu opens the door for another level of advertising impact combined with personalized content discovery.”
The Turner Broadcasting and IMG property is known for hosting several events across a series of titles on multiple platforms. One such event is ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational 2019, which featured a double-elimination, best-of-3 tournament with four teams competing for a $150,000 prize pool.
If successful, the partnership with Anzu could see bigger and better deals between both parties in the near future.
