This weekend Valve lifted NDA that barred Artifact testers from sharing any content of the game. As soon as that happened team Evil Geniuses revealed it’s first and only (at the moment) Artifact player — Sean “swim” Huguenard.
The move doesn’t surprise anyone as swim has a strong following from Gwent and many teams should be picking up new players very soon.
EG revealed their new Artifact player with a video that captures the image this player carries for the fans and the TCG community in general. EG video crew has been doing a fantastic job for many years now. The fans can look back as far as 2011 and find the great clips of the StarCraft 2 team working out on a bench press, or fast forward to 2016 and see different quirks and tricks in a giveaway video with TI winner ppd.
I had an opportunity to exchange some texts with swim around the time when Gwent Homecoming and Thronebreaker were released and I’ve been following his strims (spelled as intended) quite a lot since then. EG video crew depicted swim almost exactly as one should imagine him: a little playful and a little deviant card dealer in a back office, explaining the intricate secrets of the game.
If you want to know more about swim, check out the streamer profile we made about him last month. Although swim is a competitive player, he also did a great job casting Artifact Preview Tournament hosted by Beyond the Summit and we are very happy that he’ll be casting WePlay! Artifact Mighty Triad: Strength.
