Respawn Entertainment has shown the first gameplay of their new action game in the Star Wars universe during the EA Play conference — Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
The trailer shows us the start of antagonists' path as a Jedi Order resurrector. He is not a padawan anymore, but not yet a Jedi. His mission lies on Kashyyk, where he meets Saw Gerrera — you can know him from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. They will try to restart the fallen Jedi Order. The Empire is exterminating Wookiees to build an Imperial war-machine on the planet.
The game looks like Sekiro and Uncharted combined. We should expect a traditional skill-tree, Force abilities, lightsaber upgrades. There will be no choice of pick the Dark or Light side, because "this is a Jedi's story", game director Stig Asmussen says. He also added that they have "also looked at games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls that have the same types of methodology. We studied those games and they inspired us to find an experience that works well for our game."
It was announced that Cal Kestis will have his own cargo ship called the Stinger Mantis. It has an interactive galactic map, living quarters, a lounge and customizable exterior. Each world has a landing zone to rest, save the game, get your character's upgrades and speak to the NPCs. There will be more activities, but the developers hadn't revealed them yet.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is releasing November 15, 2019.
