This might be hard to believe in, but the EA Access subscription service is finally coming to PS4. The service will be made available in July, and it’s going to cost the same amount of money as it does on Xbox One – $4.99 a month and $29.99 a year.
The information comes straight from Electronic Arts as the company has officially revealed the plans to expand the line-up of platforms where the service is available with PS4. EA Access will grant the adherents of Sony consoles with the ability to play a number of new and older games that are included in the so-called Vault. Right now, there’re titles like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Mass Effect Andromeda, Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Need for Speed Payback, Burnout Paradise Remastered, and Fifa 18, and we presume that the list of games available on PS4 will be similar. There’s a downside to the situation though, as EA Access on Xbox One also includes much older games for Xbox 360 that are playable thanks to the backwards compatibility; PS4 lacks such a feature, which means that the list of games in the Vault is going to be smaller.
Another feature of EA Access is a 10-hour trial, which allows players to try out the newest major releases – like Anthem or Battlefield V – for the aforementioned period so that users can decide whether they want to but the game or not.
