DreamHack will host another tournament in Dallas

Second DreamHack Masters stop in the USA

DreamHack has a long time tradition with hosting eSports events mostly in Europe, but with increasing number of fans in America the well known organizer will host next stop in Dallas, Texas this year.

After two European events in 2018, in Marseille and Stockholm, DreamHack Masters will return to North America for the second time while the first stop was in Las Vegas in 2017. The tournament with $250,000 in prize money will run from May 28 to June 2 in The Kay Bailey Convention Center, Dallas. The part of the tournament will also be a BYOC festival, which has moved from Austin to Dallas for 2019, during the Master’s playoffs.

With moving to NA, organizers also bring a new format. DreamHack moved away from GSL system, which has been the Master’s format since the first event in Sweden, as instead the teams will be spread into two groups of eight, with the top three teams in each group earning spots in the playoffs.

The groups will start on the first three days of the tournament, May 28-30, while the playoffs will then move on to the stage with the two quarterfinals on May 31.
