DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 will take place in Anaheim, California, on February 21-23. Anaheim will see eight teams battle it out over a $100,000 prize pool, a spot at DreamHack Masters Jönköping, and ESL Pro Tour points.
DreamHack Anaheim will begin with a group stage before transitioning to a single-elimination bracket.
Group A
- FURIA
- North
- forZe
- Endpoint
Group B
- MIBR
- ENCE
- Gen.G
- Complexity
These will be the match-ups that start DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020:
FURIA vs. Endpoint
North vs. forZe
MIBR vs. Complexity
ENCE vs. Gen.G
Some controversy has been cast on Endpoint's position in the event. The organization qualified for the event through ESL Premiership Winter, but only one member of the roster remains today, Max "MiGHTYMAX" Heath. The former players of Endpoint thought that the core of the team should retain the qualifier spot, but DreamHack stated that the qualifier spot was to be retained by the organization, not the players.
Complexity looks to be the favorite going into this event due to their Cinderella story run at the BLAST Premier Spring Series 2020, where they beat Astralis and Vitality 2-0 to qualify for the BLAST Spring Series Final.
