DreamHack invites five teams to Open WInter

Instead of drawing out the team invitation process, DreamHack decided to drop the invited team names for Open Winter all at once. The five teams revealed are CR4ZY, forZe, FURIA Esports, Heroic, and 100 Thieves.

100 Thieves and FURIA currently sit in HLTV’s top ten after fighting their way back from up from an unremarkable last season. CR4ZY, forZe, and Heroic are ranked further down in the top twenty but are still viable contenders for the crown.

The five teams join three others that made it into the event through qualifiers for Europe, Sweden, and the Finnish Esports League Season 7. Here’s the full team list:

• SJ Gaming (Finnish Esports League Season 7)

• Tricked Esports (European Qualifier)

• Marskalk (Swedish Qualifier)

DreamHack Open Winter will take place at Elmia Convention Center, Jönköping, Sweden. The event will run from November 29 to December 1, featuring a $100,000 prize pool.
