After the disappointing results in the past few months, a 23-year-old sniper from Sweden, William “draken” Sundin was benched from fnatic and had to look for a new home. According to an official statement from Red Reserve, both sides finally finished the deal and can confirm a new addition to their CS:GO lineup.
William will reunite with his former Epsilon teammates Fredrik "freddieb" Buö and Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun, alongside whom he won Pro Gamer League Summer and the ESPORTSM Finals, both in 2016.
Draken already played for Red Reserve in the first open qualifier for the Europe Minor, in which the team lost to Chaos and ESEA MDL. In both tournaments, the team has played with former Singularity player Alfred “RuStY” Karlsson, but it’s still unclear if it will be permanent last member of this squad or if the Swedish will find a better fit.
"draken is a dead-on signing" Red Reserve CEO Patrik Andersson said and added "He has great potential and will be an ideal and important building block of our CS team. draken complements our current players perfectly, and it can only happen that our team will challenge the best in the world."
With that been said, the Red Reserve CS:GO roster looks as follows:
Hampus "hampus" Poser
Fredrik "freddieb" Buö
Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun
William "draken" Sundin
