Bandai Namco revealed most of what fans can expect in Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3, and patch 1.21 will arrive to push things along. The update brings with it the new character Kefla, new game systems, bug fixes, and several character balances

The patch notes for Dragon Ball FighterZ version 1.21 are up on Bandai Namco’s website, but only in Japanese. However, Twitter user GREATFERNMAN took the liberty of translating the patch notes.

Here’s a summary of what the new update will bring:

General

Z assist selection and the last-ditch Limit break mechanic arrive with this patch alongside changes to ki recovery, Dragon Rush, Guard Cancel, Z Assist, and an updated UI. Limit Break will provide the following three buffs; increased damage, 1 bar of ki, and the ability to reduce the opponent’s recoverable health when hit.

Bug Fixes

Bandai Namco squashed several bugs that affected the roster. We also see Hurtboxes no longer misbehaving after blockstun, hitboxes won’t appear while the opponent is in hitstop during cinematics, and landing recovery will now function as intended.

Characters

The entire roster receives balance changes for Season 3. While Cooler gets the least with a couple of tweaks to his 5S, 6H, and 214LM/HS, others like Jiren, Janemba, Videl, Broly, and Beerus see a lot of adjustments.

You can check out all the details in the GREATFERNMAN’s full translation here.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 arrives on February 26 for owners of the FighterZ Pass, while others will have to wait till February 28 to get their hands on the fused Super Saiyan.
