The Big Update ushers in the end of Dota Underlords’ Beta Season and opens the flood gates to Season One. Valve shared the changelog today, and we’ve broken it down for your reading pleasure.
Team up with another player to battle seven other teams. Teammates share health but can freely trade heroes and gold.
Bring your theorycrafting to life in the freestyle mode, which allows you to test your setups and share them with others.
A small selection of heroes are banned every 24 hours, but there will always be enough heroes in the pool to complete Alliances.
XP grows in increments of 5, while the XP wheel spends 5 gold for 5 XP. The new XP curve looks like this:

Item drops from Wave 30 have been adjusted to the following:

The UI gets a significant overhaul.
Hero voice lines
Almost every hero receives a lot of voice lines.
Hobgen and Anessix are the first two Underlords to join the game with powerful abilities and Ultimates to use. They also have Talents to choose from every 5 rounds from round 10, which powerup their abilities.
Hype is the resource Underlords use to power their abilities, but it isn’t used when casting an ability. Each Underlord has a unique way it passively generates Hype. They gain five additional Hype for unit kills and lose 5 Hype per second while stunned or hexed. Successfully killing the enemy Underlord will give your Underlord double Hype for the rest of the fight.
Each Underlord has unique taunts which can be heard by all players in the preparation phase and only your opponent in the combat phase. Abilities will always activate when available after Hype has reached the ability’s threshold. Each one has its cooldown.
Alliances: Insect Assassin
Spiked Carapace - Nyx Assassin produces spikes which negate and reflect 100% damage dealt. It also stuns the source of damage.
Vendetta - After teleporting to attack a unit, Nyx Assassin deals 200 bonus damage on the next attack and applies break on the enemy for four turns, disabling all passive effects.
Alliances: Heartless Demon
Demonic Purge - Repeatedly remove positive buffs, apply Break and slow targets for 5 seconds.
Alliances: Troll Healer
Shadow Wave - Sends out a bolt of power that arcs between up to (3/4/5) allies that are 3 cells apart. It also heals allies while damaging all units 1 cell away.
Alliances: Shaman Brute
Empower - Enrage an ally, granting him Magnus enrages an ally giving him (30/50/80)% damage and (30/50/80)% Cleave for 20 seconds.
Alliances: Insect Hunter
Shukuchi - Weaver shifts out of visibility, becomes untargetable and quickly moves through a target up to 3 cells away. Weaver deals (60/120/200) damage to each enemy it passes through.
Alliances: Primordial Druid
Tether - Io tethers itself to the nearest allied unit and pulls itself towards it. Both tethered unit gain (50/80/110) attack speed and (10/20/30)% damage reduction. Tether breaks after moving up four or more Hexes away.
Relocate - Io will teleport away for 4 seconds to revive a dead hero. Both units return with full health and cleansed of negative effects.
Alliances: Human Champion
Duel - Legion Commander targets the lowest health enemy 1 cell away. They are forced to attack each for a duration of time and cannot use abilities. If either hero dies during it, the hero winning the Duel gains a permanent (5/10/15 ) bonus to damage.
Will of the Bullsnake - Unlocked by Dragon Alliance passive, when Legion Commander wins a Duel, she instantly heals for 50% of maximum health.
Alliances: Heartless Brute
Feast - This passive has Lifestealer's attacks damage enemies and heals himself for (3/4.5/6)% of his target's max health.
Alliances: Brawny Savage
Quill Spray - Bristleback shoots quills from his back, damaging all enemy units 2 cells away. Enemies receive (40/80/160) damage, including an additional (60/64/68) damage for each stack of Quill Spray they have been hit with this round up to a maximum of 5 stacks.
Alliances: Insect Warlock
Spin Web - Broodmother will spin a web 2 cells wide on an enemy unit. Webbed enemies lose (20/30/40) attack speed, 80% movement speed, and (50/75/100)% cast speed.
Ace of Assassins
Alliances: Primordial Assassin
Ace Effect - Allied Assassins have a 5% chance per Assassin Alliance level to dodge attacks by jumping backwards in time. This entirely avoids both physical and magical damage. +15% chance of finding if you have at least one level of the Assassin Alliance completed.
Chronocube - Creates a rift in spacetime, stunning all units caught 2 cells away from the centre of the cube for (4/5/6) seconds. Faceless Void gains a speed buff inside the cube and 50 attack speed. Only Faceless Void is unaffected.
Ace of Knights
Alliances: Human Scaled Knight
Ace Effect - All allied Knights lose their Knight Alliance bonus and gain 50% damage per Knight Alliance level for the remainder of the round when Sven casts God’s Strength. +15% chance of finding if you have at least one level of the Knight Alliance completed.
God's Strength - Sven enrages and gains (100/150/200)% damage for 60 seconds.
Great Cleave - This passive has melee attacks strike nearby enemies for (30/45/70)%.
The health of all heroes doubles from their current value.
Alliance is now Elusive Assassin.
Maximum Mana changed to 0.
Mana Break: Burns (2/4/6) Hype from Underlords.
Alliances are now Brawny Brute.
Sticky Napalm cell range changed to 1.
Alliances are now Blood-Bound Deadeye.
Now Tier 2.
Arcane Aura removed.
Added Frostbite - Encases an enemy unit in ice, preventing movement and attack, while dealing (100/125/150) damage per second for (3/4/5) seconds.
Alliances are now Demon Brute.
Doom cooldown changed to 20.
Rank 3 Eidolons are now possible from Primordial Level 3 (6 units).
Minimum Attack Damage is now (40, 80, 160).
Armour is now (5, 10, 15).
Maximum Attack Damage is now (60, 120, 240).
Alliances are now Savage Druid Healer.
Enigma is now the ACE OF PRIMORDIALS
New ace effect: Allied eidolons cast Malefice on their killer, stunning them for 0.4seconds every 2 seconds. The effect lasts 2 seconds per Primordial Alliance level. The target takes 50 damage per Primordial Alliance level each time they are stunned. +15% chance of finding if you have at least one level of the Primordial Alliance completed.
Midnight Pulse: Damage dropped to (2.5, 3.5, 4.5)%.
New ace effect: Attacks from Deadeye units pierce their primary target, dealing 100% damage per Deadeye Alliance level to the unit behind them. +15% chance of finding if you have at least one level of the Deadeye Alliance completed.
Keeper of the Light:
Maximum Mana dropped to 100.
Illuminate’s Mana Cost dropped to 100.
Attack Rate increased to 0.714.
Tier is now 3.
Laguna Blade: Damage increased to (600, 800, 1500).
Now sets targets on fire for 5.0 seconds.
Medusa is now the ACE OF HUNTERS
New ace effect: Hunters deal 5% extra Attack Damage per Hunter Alliance level for each other Hunter attacking the same target. +15% chance of finding if you have at least one level of the Hunter Alliance completed.
Alliances are now Druid Shaman.
Alliances are now Heartless Healer.
Alliances are now Human Knight Healer.
Alliances are now Savage Insect.
Maximum Mana changed from 100 to 70
Hex: Cooldown dropped to 8 while Mana Cost also dropped to 70.
Essence Shift: Stolen Attack Speed dropped to 1, 2, 3.
Alliances are now Demon Hunter.
Toss: Stun Duration dropped to (1.0, 1.5, 2.0). Cooldown also increased to (10, 9, 8).
Alliances are now Druid Brute.
Alliances are now Blood-Bound Warlock Healer.
Whenever a Brute attacks an enemy, it applies a -(15/40)% damage debuff for 3 seconds. When initially applied, the buff deals (50/100) damage. Brutes prefer to attack enemies that do not have the debuff.
Champions gain all Alliance bonuses.
All friendly healing amplified by 30%.
Spiderlings will constantly swarm enemies from the edge of the board. Spiderlings are untargetable units that deal low damage and have 1 health. Enemies bitten by spiderlings have a 30% chance to miss their attacks for 0.5 seconds. Spiderlings replenish upon death up to a maximum of 12.
New: All Brawny units gain (15/30) maximum HP for each kill by any of your team Brawny units throughout the game.
Melee Deadeye units gain phasing movement in addition to standard Alliance bonus.
New: Whenever a Demon casts a spell, for 4 seconds, all Demons get silenced, and the caster gains +50% bonus Pure damage for each allied Demon.
Demon Hunters have removed from the game.
New: All Elusive units have a (10/20)% chance to gain +100% Evasion and +35 Attack Speed for 3 seconds when attacked.
New: Allies generate (4/7/10) mana per second.
Primordial Alliance changed to 2/4/6, leading to strong Rank 3 Eidolons.
Attack Damage gain decreased to (4/8/15).
New: Units attacking a Shaman have a 17% chance of being turned into a chicken and hop (2/4) cells in a random direction. Each shaman can only turn each enemy into a chicken once per battle.
The equipped hero always attacks the enemy Underlord if able. Equipped hero's attacks against the enemy Underlord remove 10 Hype with a 3-second cooldown.
Celebratory Murder Gong
Every time the equipped hero gets a kill, they generate 20 Hype for your Underlord.
Health Bonus increased to 500.
Eye of Skadi
Health Bonus increased to 800.
Fall From Grace
Heal per Second increased to 40.
Heart of Tarrasque
Health Bonus increased to 2000.
Heal amount increased to 500.
Armour reduced to 10.
