Dota 2 - Which Heroes does IO work best with?

Introduction

If there is one Dota 2 hero that's truly unique, it has to be IO. This is the only Dota 2 hero that doesn't really do that much when he is alone, even though some pro players, such as Ana, have tried to make him work. 

In order to excel with this hero, you need to pick it alongside different strong carries. Even though IO is relatively squishy, this hero provides tons of utility, healing, and other things, which makes him incredibly strong during team fights. However, you need to have very good coordination with your team-mates in order to do something, which is why this is one of the worst heroes when it comes down to pub games. Nevertheless, here are some of the best heroes that you can pair IO with.

Tiny

The first hero that deserves to be on this list is Tiny. This probably doesn't come as a surprise because Tiny is known for doing insane damage but lacking attack speed. This is where IO comes in with his tether, which allows Tiny to go berserk in some cases. This combo has won numerous tournaments over the last couple of years, so definitely give it a shot.

Chaos Knight

The second hero that's known for working pretty well with IO is Chaos Knight. CK is similar to Tiny in terms of his damage and attack speed, however, he is usually tankier. When you combine this with the fact that he has an extremely powerful ultimate, you can easily see why IO is such a good fit here.

Gyrocopter

The last hero that we definitely have to mention is Gyrocopter. In the last few years, Gyro and IO have been ripping through the competition, until Gyro got nerfed so hard that people just stopped picking him. Even though this happened a few patches ago, there are still some players who pick this combo in an attempt to win their pub game. While it's true that it can work in some cases, usually, it's just better to pick something else.
