Dota 2 - When to use Your Buyback?

Introduction

As one of the most popular MOBAs in the world, Dota 2 has many unique mechanics that you can't find anywhere else. One of those mechanics is called Buyback, which allows you to basically spend a certain amount of gold in exchange for not having to wait for your dead timer. In other words, you will respawn instantly, as long as you have gold. 

Although this seems kind of useless at first, this is actually one of the most important mechanics, especially in the later stages of the game. One buyback can make all the difference in the world if it's done when it's right. Having said that, here are a couple scenarios where you'd want to use your buyback.

For early scrims

Many people believe that the buyback should be used only in the later stages of the game. However, this is far from the truth because you can do a lot during the early to mid-game as well. However, you need to be in a situation where you can easily bounce back into the fight. In other words, the teamfight has to be near a tower or any other object that you can TP to.  We definitely suggest you to try this tactic out. After all, the best Dota 2 teams use it all the time.

During late game

Having a buyback in the later stages of the game is probably the most important thing in Dota 2. It doesn't matter if you have 10 or 12 items, if you die, you will be dead for over 2 min, which is more than enough for the enemy team to finish the game. In order to prevent that from happening, you have to always save gold for a buyback. When the time comes, don't be afraid to use it because it can make a huge difference.

For trolling

Lastly, you can also use your buyback to troll your team whenever you just feel like it. Sure, this is something that will most likely get you reported but hey, at least its fun.

All jokes aside, you should NOT do this at any cost because you will just ruin the fun for you and for your team-mates.
