Dota 2: What heroes to pick against Medusa?

Introduction

As one of the strongest late game heroes in Dota 2, Medusa is capable of ripping through the enemy's lineup. Even though she is strong, there are certain heroes that can actually do pretty well against her, which is why you can often see them in game vs Medusa. Of course, it all depends on how the game is turning out to be. In some circumstances, they can be extremely strong, whereas in others - not so much.

Here are the top three heroes to pick against Medusa in this patch.

Sniper

This hero is probably not the first one that comes to mind when you're thinking of Medusa counters, but Sniper is actually pretty good. That's due to the fact that the hero has tons of range, which allows him to stay back and hit Medusa from a distance. What's more, this long-range also means that the hero is relatively safe against Stone Gaze, which can be a game-changing ultimate during all stages of the game.

Anti-Mage

The second hero that deserves to be here is Anti-Mage. Unlike Sniper, this is a direct counter to Medusa in many ways. Apart from the obvious fact that this hero can easily burn through Medusa's mana, he is also capable of farming a lot faster than Medusa. As a result, AM can get better item timings, which in most cases should be enough to secure the victory.

Phantom Lancer

PL is in a very similar state to Anti-Mage in terms of how he works against Medusa. He is capable of doing loads of damage, especially when he has a Diffusal Blade on. However, he has to be careful because Stone Gaze can quickly kill all of his illusions, so it's worth pointing it out.
