Dota 2 - Top Three Supports in Patch 7.25

Introduction

Each Dota 2 patch always changes the popularity of some heroes. In most cases, the new patch nerfs some of the popular heroes from the previous one and buffs other heroes that haven't been around for a long time. Needless to say, that also applies to patch 7.25 and 7.26, both of which have changed a lot of things.

Now that ESL One LA Online is over, it's time to take a look at some of the top support heroes in the current patch. Unlike the previous ones, we've seen several new heroes here, so let's check them out.

Grimstroke

Although this hero was released a while back, we became very popular in the last couple of weeks. Come to think of it, that's not really a surprise, considering what he has to offer. Grimstroke is a hero that has everything you can want from support. He has a stun, a slow, a silence, deals a lot of damage, and has an ultimate that can be combined with other spells and completely cause havoc during team-fights. As a result, this hero is good at pretty much all stages of the game. 

We definitely expect this to be among the heroes that will receive a small nerf in the upcoming patch.

Phoenix

Once a definite offlaner, Phoenix has transitioned into one of the best position four supports in Dota 2. That's not really a surprise, considering the meta that we're currently in. You see, Phoenix has always been this amazing team-fight hero that can also do a lot of damage. As a result, in a meta where we see heroes like Mars and Ember Spirit, Phoenix is a natural fit for this lineup. 

Whether you like him or not, there is no arguing that he has one of the best team-fight ultimate in Dota 2.

Rubick

Ever since this hero was released, Rubick made a name for himself as one of the best support heroes in Dota 2. Now, a few years later, he continues to be among the top support picks. As we've mentioned that's not really a surprise because there are many heroes that have game-breaking spells right now. As a result, Rubick can steal a lot of great abilities, which makes him very useful in team fights.
