Despite the slow start, Tinker is capable of carrying his team to victory once he gets a couple of items. While it's true that he is one of the hardest heroes in Dota 2 to master, once you get a good idea of how to utilize him, he can be a dangerous enemy.

With that said, here are three things tips that you can use against this hero.

Put vision on the side cliffs

Since Tinker is not your typical Dota 2 hero, playing against him requires some changes and one of them is related to vision. It's highly advisable that you place an award on the cliffs that are located on each side of the map. Even though you might think that it is a waste, that's not the case. This ward will give you a clear vision of what's happening in that area. As you know, every Tinker play will blink there once he teleports to the creep.

Pick a hero that can deal with him

One of the most important things, when you play against Tinker, is to pick a hero that counters him. There are many good options here such as Spectre, Storm Spirit, Zeus, etc. If you don't have a decent hero against Tinker, you will have a really hard time winning the game.

Try to "bait" him 

Unless you're playing in the high-MMR bracket, every single player who picks Tinker will have more or less the same routine. He will TP to the lane, blink, use his skills, and tp back. Although this is very effective, it also makes Tinker very susceptible to ganks, which is exactly what you need to wait for.

Simply buy a Smoke of Deceit, camp the lane, and wait for the hero tp TP there.
