Dota 2: Three Heroes That are Strong Against Ember Spirit

Introduction

Ember Spirit is one of those heroes that, given a proper draft, he can easily rip through your lineup like a knife through butter. However, as you probably know, Ember is not really the easiest hero to play with. In fact, many people believe that he is one of the hardest heroes in the game because he is very squishy and can die pretty fast.

Having said that, let's take a look at a couple of heroes that are very good against Ember Spirit. If you want to pick something just to ruin his game, these are the heroes to go for.

Storm Spirit

Even though the root mechanism changed, Storm Spirit still remains one of Ember's biggest counters. Unlike other heroes that are only strong during late game, Storm can also be a huge pain to deal with in the laning stage as well. Thanks to his constant harassment, Storm is capable of bullying Ember out of the lane with little to no effort, which is why you can see many people picking him.

Some of the best items that you can get with Storm Spirit are Orchid, Scythe of Vyse, and an Aghanim Scepter because they work very well against Ember.

Zeus

Unlike Storm, Zeus is only good against Ember during the early and mid-game because this is where he does the most damage. Despite having Flame Guard that absorbs a lot of magical damage, Zeus is capable of bringing it down very fast, and then just nucking Ember down. 

One of the best things that you can do as Zeus in this matchup is to constantly have mana regen and spam your spells on him. Even though Ember does a lot of damage, he is squishy and doesn't have that much HP, which makes it very easy for you to just nuke him down.

Legion Commander

Last, but definitely not least, we have Legion Commander, probably the most annoying hero to play against as Ember. Even though it might not seem like a counter at first, a good Legion Commander will always try to "hunt" Ember down and kill him in a duel. Sure, the pesky spirit can just buy a Linking's Sphere and prevent this from happening. That said, LC can just get Heaven's Halberd and use it to remove the Linkin', allowing him to easily use his duel.,
