Dota 2: The richest players in the game ⚡⚡⚡ Esports news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Dota 2 is one of the biggest MOBA games in the world. As such, it brings together million people from all over the globe that play on it on a daily basis. However, apart from being just game, Dota 2 is also one of the biggest esports.

There are tournaments that have literally millions in their prizep pools, such as TI 9 for example, where the prize pool was over $34,000,000, which is just insane. In fact, even the smallest tournaments in the tier one scene tend to get as little as $300,000, which is still more than the vast majortiy of events from other games.

Having said that, it's time to look at a topic that isn't really discussed all that often - how rich are the people who play Dota 2 for a living. Of course, we're not their financial advisors or accountants, so we can't really tell how much money they have. However, using common sence and a helf of website called, we can get a good idea of what's the situation. Keep it in mìnd that we will just least just one player from each team  because after winning a TI, it's not hard to guess that they are the richest Dota 2 players.

Without further ado, let's dive in.

#1 - n0tail

The richest Dota 2 player in the world is n0tail. According to sources, he has somewhere around $6,900,000 dollars, which is just mind-blowing. Of course, the vast majortiy of this money is from the two TI victories. However, even before that, n0tail's OG won a couple of Majors when they used to play with Mircale- before. Also, let's not forget many other events where n0tail played in.

The most spectacular thing is that Johan is actually still keen on playing, despite being a millionare. This is very rare nowadays, because there are many pro players such as JerAx for example, who decided top quit after earning so much money. However, that's not the case with n0tail, which proves that he really loves Dota 2.

#2 Kuroky

The first player outside of OGs roster is the legend himself - Kuroky. Whatever we say about him won't be enough at this point because he has proven himself as one of the best, most consistent, and friendly people in the Dota 2 universe. This player has been around for ages now, ever since the glorious days of DotA. Despite that, he still manages to be among the best players in the world, even though he's been playing for so long. Needless to say, maintaining such a high-level is very hard.

If we can trust the website, Kuro has won a total around $5,150,000, which is impressive, to say the least.

#3 SumaiL

At number 3, we have one of the biggest Dota 2 talents to ever play this game - SumaiL. This prodigy was introduced to the Dota 2 world after he joined EG around five years ago. During that time, he proved himself as one of the best mid laners and the top Storm Spirit player. Together with his ex-teammates, he won TI 5, as well as numerous other tournaments along the way, including DAC in China, which was actually SumaiL's first big event where he made a name for himself.

The young player from Pakistan managed to accumulate the jaw-dropping $3,590,000. Not bad for a kid who loves to play Dota 2.

#4 Somnus (Maybe)

Last, but definitely not least, we have one of the best Chinese players in the world - Somnus. This legendary player has been around forever but despite that, he always managed to keep himself as one of the best players in the world. Even though he didn't play for so many teams sucha as other players from this region, together with LGD, Somnus dominated the Dota 2 scene heavily.

Unfortunately, he wasn't able to win TI 8, even though LGD was considered as the favorites in their match against OG. Nevertheless, he still managed to earn a decent chunck of money, which means that his bank account is currently around $2,917,000, which is ap retty good number.
