Dota 2: The most picked offlaners

Introduction

Although most people believe that the mid and safelane require the most skill, that's not really the case. In fact, it's the offlaners that have the burdon to stand their ground against the enemy safelane. As you can imagine, playing in a one versus two or three scenario is not really the most ideal conditions to have fun.

Having said that, it's time to take a look at which offlane heroes are the ones that are picked the most. To determine that, we will use the data from DotaBuff, which is one of the biggest sources when it comes down to Dota 2 statistics.

Legion Commander

Even though LC used to be the go-to jungle pick for most players, this hero slowly proved itself as one of the best offlaners in Dota 2. Not only is she incredibly hard to deal with, but she can also deal tons of damage, especially when she is in a 1vX scenario. That's due to her Overwhelming Odds, which can litereally kill the enemy supports if they are on low hp.

Also, LC has heals, so she can sustain itself on the lane fairly easy.

Axe

Whatever we say about Axe won't be enough. He is often considered as one of the most famous Dota 2 heroes. Even though he can be easily countered in a lane, if he is picked when he is good, Axe is capalbe of causing havoc to the enemy team. 

It's important to note that the hero can do very well against most melee heroes. However, when he has to go against a ranged hero, things are a little bit different. In most cases, he might be forced to go and farm the neutral camps.

Bristleback

The third hero on our list is one of the most durable heroes in Dota 2 - Bristleback. Even though the hero is played mainly as a carry right now, he is one of the most popular offlaners in the game. Every single spell he has makes him ideal to lane against multiple enemies at once.

Even though he can struggle a bit in the first couple of levels, that's not the case later on. Instead, he becomes stronger and stronger.
