Whether you need it as a defensive tool or you have to have it in order to actually enable your hero, Blink Dagger is an amazing tool to have. However, since it costs 2250 gold, it's not the cheapest item in the game.

Axe

Whether you like playing this hero or not, there is no arguing that having a Blink Dagger on him is a must. Although there are several item builds where Dagger is not included, it just isn't the same when this item is not present. Magnus

Despite having Skewer, Magnus is also among the heroes that need to get a Blink Dagger if he wants to make plays. However, this is only true if the hero is taking the role of an initiator. As you know, some Magnus players prefer to run the hero as a core, so getting a Dagger there is not really all that important.

Enigma

However, in order for Enigma to do the job that it's supposed to do, the hero has to buy a Blink Dagger. This is the only reliable way of initiating. Even though some people buy a Shadow Blade instead, this is not an item that can be count on, especially against good players.
