Dota 2 - Some of the best two-hero combos in the game

Introduction

Even though Dota 2 has been out of nearly 10 years now, it still remains one of the most popular MOBA games in the world. 

Throughout its existence, they’ve been many “broken” hero combinations that made the life of players a living hell. Some of them are long gone, whereas others are playable even today.

With that said, let’s take a look at some of the most popular hero combinations in Dota 2.

Omniknight and Outworld Devourer

This was very hot in 2016 and 2017 while both of these heroes were broken. In general, OD has always been considered as a mid hero. However, during this patch, he shifted his position towards the safe lane. As a result, when he was accompanied by Omni, he was able to destroy the enemy team with little to no effort.

Keep it in mind that Omni had Repel that gave heroes Spell Immunity. This was the biggest reason why OD was so strong - the hero basically had 2 BKBs.

Ember Spirit and Magnus

Although Magnus works very well with nearly all melee heroes, the bound between him and Ember Spirit is a little more special. During the early game, Empower gives Ember a decent boost while farming. Although this is pretty cool, the late-game buff is even better, especially when it’s combined with items such as Battlefury and Daedalus.

Morphling and Earth Shaker

This combo became very popular prior to the Outlanders Update  Although those two heroes have no synergy at first glance, as soon as Morphling buys an Aghanim’s Scepter, things completely change.

Using the Enchante Totem, Morphling is capable of chasing or escaping whenever it’s needed. What’s more, he also guarantees himself a kill due to the insane amount of damage buff that he gets from it.

Sadly, this combo only lates for a couple of months because the new patch pretty much nerfed it to the ground.

Templar Assassin and Drow Ranger

Last, but definitely not least, we have two heroes that can bring down every enemy in just a matter of seconds. While it’s true that Drow Ranger works wonders with every range hero, the combination with TA is just overpowered.

Using the aura, TA is capable of one-shotting nearly eveyone once she gets a quick Desolator.
