Those of you who've played Dota 2 several years ago probably remember the gold days of s4, one of the best Dota 2 players of all time. Don't get us wrong, he is still playing even today, but back then, he was one of the best Swedish player.
Even though he's won pretty much anything in his career so far, it's safe to say that TI 3 victory is the hallmark of his Dota 2 journey. In fact, he played a major role there, especially in the Grand Final where he prevents Dendi from teleporting, which resulted in a GG push but Loda's Chaos Knight.
Having said that, let's take a look at a couple of heroes that s4 is mostly famous for. Some of them are not really in the meta right now, but that doesn't mean that they are bad.
One of the first heroes that come to mind with you hear about s4 is his Puck. This was the hero that secured the high prize for Alliance during TI 3, which is often considered to be the best Grand Final in Dota 2's history.
S4 absolutely flourishes whenever he gets the chance to play these tempo-control heroes. That's why it's no surprising that Puck is on this list.
It's no surprise that Magnus is on this list because s4 is often called to as "the son of Magnus" by some of the Dota 2 talents. Similar to Puck, Magnus is an amazing tempo controller that can make a serious difference during team fights. Although the meta changes this hero a lot (he is now basically a carry), he is still frequently picked as a position 4/offlaner.
The last hero on that we believe S4 is truly remarkable on is Batrider. This shouldn't come as a surprise, considering the fact that he has been playing an on offlaner for the last few years. However, even when s4 used to be a proper mid laner, he'd still pick Batrider from time to time just to make the life of his enemies a living hell.
One of the main issues with this hero is the fact that he is only really useful in the early and mid-game. He is also good during the late game but not as a mid laner because outside of his ultimate, he can't really do much.
