Dota 2 - Puck's biggest counters

Introduction

Puck is one of the Dota 2 heroes that often tend to be forgotten. Despite having an impressive array of skills, the hero is not that popular because he is very squishy and can easily be killed. Nevertheless, there are still some people who prefer to play with him, especially in the mid lane. Despite being a strong laner, there are still some heroes that can make Puck's life a living hell. So, let's take a look at them right now.

Zeus

Zeus is one of the heroes that excel against weak laners, which is why he is really good against Puck. Even though he has a silence, Zeus still does a lot more damage, which means that he just has to land a few spells and Puck will eventually run out of regen. 

Huskar

Despite the fact that Puck has a lot of range, the hero is just not good against Huskar because he is too tanky. Sure, after the changes that were done to this hero, Puck definitely has more chances but still, kill Husk is nearly impossible. Then again, that's not the point of going mid with Puck. Don't forget that the idea of this hero is to try and dominate the other lanes, so he just needs to get as many items as possible.

Templar Assassin

This is perhaps Puck's biggest counter when it comes down to pure laning. TA destroys Puck in every way possible. Apart from the obvious fact that she deals twice the damage, TA's refraction is strong enough to withstand Puck's Orb and Silence, which are the two main nukes used by this hero. Of course, Puck can try and remove this ability using right-clicks, but this will make the hero vulnerable to attacks.

Shadow Fiend

The last hero that we have to point out here is Shadow Fiend, a hero that's often considered as the "King of the mid lane". Although he does a lot of damage, Puck is also capable of winning this lane if he manages to get a head start. However, if he fails to do it, Shadow Fiend will easily take over the lane and just harras with his Razes all the time. Also, don't forget that SF deals a lot more physical damage in comparison to Puck.
