It feels like humanity has passed several epochs since the last LAN tournament in Dota 2. This year the DPС season ended a little over the middle, and TI10 did not exist at all. Valve said they do not plan to launch the next season before 2021, and TI is tentatively scheduled for August 2021. However, the coronavirus pandemic is fading, judging by the confidence of the Chinese tournament organizers. The China Dota 2 Pro Cup LAN tournament has been announced, and it will be held in China from September 17 to 28. This was reported by Imba Media on the official Weibo account.

Ten teams will take part in the China Dota 2 Pro Cup. Eight teams received direct invites: PSG.LGD, EHOME, Vici Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, Invictus Gaming, Team Aster, Sparking Arrow Gaming, and Team Magma. Two more participants will be determined based on the results of Open Qualifiers.
The group stage of the tournament will take place from 17 to 26 September. The decisive stage, which is scheduled for September 27 and 28, will take place at the stadium. According to the organizers, 100 to 200 spectators will be allowed into the arena, still, it is unknown how the tickets will be distributed. The prize fund of the championship is $74,000.
Group Stage kicks off on Sept. 17 and ends on Sept. 26, Sept. 27 & 28 will be decider matches for the LAN Playoffs, more details will be revealed later on Imba Media's official Weibo.
