Valve added a new event called New Bloom 2019 to the game to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year (also known as Spring Festival or Lunar New Year) is a public holiday in China, but it is also celebrated in some foreign countries. According to Chinese mythology, a monster named Nen (Nián) comes at the beginning of each new year looking for food. The Asian countries residents hang the red lights and light fireworks to scare them away.

Players will move forward through the rewards line and gain experience for the victories in the matches from February 1 to February 11:

  • 200 points for winning the usual selection,
  • 100 for Turbo,
  • 1250 points for the first successful game in a day.

A consumables bundle is already available on the first level. The players will receive new sounds for the chat, boot screen and the ability to use the rotation in the wheel of awards New Bloom for each next level. Players can also give friends free wheel spin. There is a chance to get a new rare courier Nian with each turn.

The rewards for Dota Plus owners are much more in New Bloom 2019. You can use all consumable items and sounds in the chat wheel until March 1.

Some players have already noticed the injustice in awarding. For example, a rare courier fell out to this Reddit user, and instead he got a set on Silencer... hm, is this ok?

Well, Valve, we just wanted Nian back in All Pick again :(
