Introduction
Dota 2 is one of the most popular MOBA games that’s been around for ages. During its existence, it proved itself to be one of the hardest games in its genre. Needless to say, getting good at the game will get some used to, especially with some heroes.
Speaking of heroes, let’s take a look at few tips on how to split pushing properly. Keep it in mind that these are just general tips and might not work in every situation.
Know where is your enemy
This is perhaps one of the most important things that you need to remember. Knowing the location of your enemy can make all the difference in the world, especially when it comes down to split pushing.
For example, if you see that your enemy is on one side of the map and they’ve just teleported, this means that the lane you’re trying to push is free. Needless to say, this is where you need to make the most out of it.
Always be aware of your arch enemies
The second tip is aimed at the heroes who are very vulnerable to other heroes. For example, Legion Commander is one of the biggest counters to Anti-Mage because she can easily kill him in a duel.
If you find yourself in a situation where you need to be careful of certain heroes, always try to see where he’s at. The last thing you want is to get picked-off while trying to split push. Not only are you going to fail at it, but you’ll also leave your team without one hero.
Buy the proper items
Even though this goes without saying, it’s still important to mention it. Depending on what hero you’re playing it, there are many items that can boost your pushing capabilities. For example, if you like to play Nature’s Prophet, you can easily buy an Aghanim’s Scepter, as well as Necronomicon and push a tower in a matter of seconds. Also, let’s not forget one of the newly-added items called Meteor Hammer. It allows you to channel it for 2 seconds, after which it deals with pretty significant damage to the tower.
All in all, the split-pushing gameplay depends mainly on what hero you’re playing with. Sometimes it’s easy, whereas others - not so much.
