Introduction
Dota 2 is a game where you can choose between 120 different heroes, each of which is unique in its own way. Although all of them are strong during the laning stage, not all of them are equal. Some heroes are just way stronger than others, which is why you should have a special approach when you're going to lane against.
Even though Zeus is not as annoying or such a strong laner as Huskar, he is still capable of demolishing the vast majortiy of laners. That's why it's important to look at a couple of tips you need to know versus this hero.
Don't stay too close to the creeps
The first and also the most important tip to remember is to keep your distance. Zeus is notorious for last-hitting with his Arc Lightning because he doesn't have the best attack animation. Even though this will cost him mana in the long run, the Arc Lightning damage is pretty high, which is why it's important to dodge it. The only way in which you can do that is if you don't stay close to the creep. Usually, Zeus will use this ability when the creep has low HP.
So, instead of tryhing and denying it (which is good but in most cases impossible), just move a bit and don't let him hit you.
Always have regen
Zeus usually starts to be very dangerous around levels five and six. Although everything might look fine at first, you can die in just a matter of seconds once that Thunder Bolt gets to level 3. So, the best way to avoid all this is to always have regeneration to keep yourself on full HP.
Another very strong item vs Zeus is Infused Raindrop. Apart from mana regen, this item also absorbs a decent amount of magical damage, which is enough to prevent Zeus from killing you.
Gank him all the time
Although Zeus does tons of magical damage, he is one of the easiest heroes to gank. Needless to say, you should take full advantage of it and gank him whenever possible.
