Introduction
Laning in Dota 2 is one of the most important things that needs to go OK for you if you want to win. In most cases. if you fail the laning stage, you will fail the entire game, even though there are cases where this doesn't happen.
As we've mentioned numerous times in our articles before, there are many Dota 2 heroes that can be a huge pain to deal with. Some of them are only good against certain heroes, whereas others only work against pretty much anything.
One of those heroes is Tindehunter, a formidabble offlaner that's capable of upsetting the enemy safelane. Let's take a look and see a couple of things that we need to know against him.
Don't stay too close
One of Tide's biggest strengths is his spell called Anchor Smash, It allows him to farm easily while also reducing the damage of anyone that's hit with it. As you can imagine, this is very easy to do, especially agains melee heroes. So, whenever you see that this spell is off-cooldown, you should always try to avoid getting hit with this ability.
There are many ways in which you can do it but it seems like running towards and Tide and then quickly running back again is one of the best ways of doing it.
Try killing him before he gets to level 5
There are several heroes in Dota 2 that are very strong when they hit certain level timings. In most cases, that happens around level 6 when the hero gets his ultimate. However, in the case of Tidehunter, he is in a similar state to Timbersaw.
Once the hero gets to level 5, his Kraken Shell is probably going to be on level 3, which makes killing him very, very hard. That's why you should try and do everything in your power to kill the hero before this happens.
Harras him all the time
Last, but definitely not least, you have to remember to attack the hero as much as you can. Unlike Timbersaw, Tide will not regenerate any HP from his passive skill. So, even if your damage is reduced from Kraken Shell, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't attack him. On the contrary, you have to do it all the time if you want to be able to bully him out of the lane.
