Dota 2 - How to lane against Techies

Introduction

There are many annoying heroes in Dota 2 that you definitely don't want to face in your games. Some of them  are hard to play against during all stages of the game, whereas others tend to fall behind after the first couple of minutes.

The hero that we will take a look at today tends to be in the first category. Techies is one of those heroes that can make your life a living hell, especially if he is good. That's why it's important to see a couple of tips that might help you when you have to lane against him.

Get vision

The days of a roaming Techies are pretty much gone. Nowadays, this hero pretty much stays on the lane from the beginning, which can be very, very annoying. 

One of the most important things that you need to do in this situation is to get good vision. This is a must if you want to move in your lane freely. Needless to say, the last thing you want  is to let him "do his thing" just to get killed by a couple of mines later.

Try baiting his suicide spell

One of the strongest aspects of Techies is that he can use his suiciding skill and do tons of damage. After the changes, this ability now doesn't have as much cooldown, which means that the hero can use it very fequently. In fact, you can often find players who farm the wave with it. If that's the case, it will be a very good idea to bati him into using it, so that you can kill him afterwards. Killing Techies is not the hardest thing in the world, especially when he has no defensive spell to rely on.

Try to prevent him from snowballing

Last,  but definitelyt not least, you need to try to stop Techies from snowballing at all cost. One of the worst things that can happen to you and your team is to allow this because the hero will quickly buy an Aghanim and this will not end well. In order to avoid all that, simply try to kill him as much as possible. Sure, this is easier said than done but it's doable.
