However, if he is played in the mid lane, chances are that he will deal tons of damage all the time.

Always have HP regen

We can't stress this enough. Skywrath is one of those heroes that will try to bully you out ofthe lane. Sadly for you, he is very good at this, which is why you need to get as much regen as possible if you want to be able to have any laning stage at all. In most cases, you will probably have to spend around 30% of your gold in the first 10 minutes just on regen alone.

Buy Infused Raindrops when it's available

This item is often understimated but it can literally do wonders against Skywrath mage. By spending just 225 gold, you get yourself a very decent protection against his annoying spells. Although this item only has five charges, it can still be the difference between surviving and dying, especially in a 1v1 mid scenario.

Call for help

The last thing that you should do is ask for asssitance. Although this might seem humulating, sometimes it's better to do this than just staying on the lane and tanking damage without doing anything.

Despite the fact that Skywrath does tons of damage, he is not really good when it comes down to survivng against ganks. That's why if you do it the right way, each gank should be a kill.
