Dota 2: Dealing with Weaver

Introduction

Weaver has always been one of the most annoying heroes in Dota 2. Even though he is very squishy, he deals tons of damage and can easily snowball out of control, especially when he has weak laners against him. To make matters worse, Valve decided to buff him significantly in patch 7.25, and he quickly became one of the most picked heroes in the game. However, since he wasn't that popular before, there are many people who have no idea how to deal with him in the laning stage and later on. So, let's see a few tips that you can use.

Get a strong laner

In most cases, the root of all evil in Dota 2 comes from the laning stage. As we've said, Weaver is one of those heroes that can easily dominate weak laners, so it's important to pick a hero that can actually stand a chance against him in a lane. There are many examples here, so just choose one that will do the job.

Get some sort of disable

While it's true that Weaver is one of the most elusive Dota 2 heroes around, he is also very squishy. What's more, most players that pick Weaver don't even bother buying any defensive items, which makes him even more vulnerable to any CC. So, a great way to kill him is by either stunning him or use any other kind of disable. The combinations here are literally endless, so just see what type of CC does your teamwork well with and get it.

Always have a Dust of Appearance

Weaver's second skill allows him to jump in and out of action whenever he sees fit. Apart from giving him loads of movement speed, this ability also makes him invisible, which is why you should always carry some sort of vision. The last thing you want is to let him escape just because you didn't purchase a Dust or a Sentry ward.
