Pick heroes that do a lot of magical damage

One of the best ways to bring down the already hard to kill hero is by doing tons of magical damage. Even though some Necro players tend to buy a Hood of Defiance, that's not always the case. As you know, Necro is not the tankiest hero, especially when he uses his second skill. As a result, if you have enough magical firepower, you should be able to kill him very quickly.

Try to burst him down asap

Necro is one of those heroes that benefits a lot from long fights because he is able to deal more damage with his aura and heal up. That's why one of the best ways of eliminating him is if you kill him fast enough. Even though this is easier said than done, it is possible, especially if you have the right heroes for the job. There are many options here, including a lot of physical damage or magical damage usage, so it just depends on the situation you're in.

Buy defensive items

Last, but definitely not least, you also have to try and get at least one defensive item in order to have a chance at surviving. There are many options that work here but it seems like a Black King Bar and a Linkin's Sphere might just be among the best options.
