There are many annoying Dota 2 heroes that can make your life a living hell. Some of them only do this during the later stages of the game, whereas others can do it all the time. One of those heroes is Monkey King.
Despite the fact that he was recently introduced to Dota 2, the hero quickly made a name for himself as one of the most annoying heroes to play against, especially in the laning stage. Thanks to his passive skill, MK is capable of dealing an absurd amount of damage, while also healing himself in the process. This makes the laning stage incredibly hard for some heroes and just impossible for others.
Having said that, let's take a look at a couple of things that you need to keep in mind, should you have to lane against Monkey King.
Keep your distance
The first and probably the most important thing is to know how close can you get to him. This largely depends on what type of hero you play. If you're melee, this is very hard because MK has a lot of range, even though he is a melee hero as well. That's why you have to do the classic creep-pull in order to get at least some last-hits.
On the other hand, if you're ranged, just try to stay away so that you can prevent him from stacking his third skill.
Always try to harras him if possible
The second important thing that you need to do is to harras him all the time. Even though MK does a hefty amount of damage, he is very squishy because he doesn't have that much armor. This makes him very prone to take damage, which is why you have to try and attack him all the time.
Needless to say, this is definitely easier said than done, especially with some heroes.
Wait from him to uses his first skill before you try to score a kill
One of the biggest mistakes of most new Dota 2 players is that they try to score a kill against MK before he uses his first skill. In case you didn't know, once he gets his passive skill on, he can heal on full HP using his stun. So, it's pretty much impossible to bring him down unless you time your offense after he uses his spell.
