Dota 2: Dealing with Meepo

Introduction

There are many Dota 2 heroes that can be considered a huge pain to deal with. However, most of them are only annoying in certain situations or against certain heroes. Well, that's not the case with Meepo. If the player who picks this hero knows how to use him, he can win games alone. In fact, this happens in the vast majority of situations, especially when he gets a good start.

That's why it is important to know how to deal with this hero accordingly.  Let's take a look at a couple of tips that could help you.

Choose counterpicks

Even thought his goes without saying, we can't stress this enough. Picking heroes that counter Meepo is the most important thing to do if you want to have a chance at surviving. If there are no heroes that can deal with this pesky rat, chances are that you will end up losing.

There are many good choices versus Meepo such as:

1. Earthshaker
2. Invoker
3. Ember Spirit

Buy AoE or Single-targetr burst items

The next important thing to remember is that you need to buy the proper items. Again, there are many good choices here but you have to decide between two big groups of items - either AoE or single-target orientated. Both work fine, so it all comes down to what lineup you have. Sometimes, having huge amount of single-target damage can be the way to go against meepo because you will be able to kill one of the clones very fast.

Avoid staying alone

One of the worst things that you can do against Meepo is to stay alone on the lane. Needless to say, this will most likely result in a kill for him because he can easily pick you off in just a matter of seconds. Remember that he will always be a bigger level than you because he gets experience from multiple sources.
