Dota 2 Combos: Invoker's one-shot macro

Introduction

Dota 2 is a game where you can do various heroes and items combinations. Some of them are very deadly, whereas others - not so much.  Having said that, it’s very important to know how you can make the most out of those combinations that actually work. Some of them might seem very hard at first but once you get the hang of them, you can easily use them to kill your enemies.

Now that we cleared this out, today, we will take a look at a very popular damage combo that has the potential to wipe out the entire enemy team. It involves one of the hardest heroes in Dota 2 - Invoker.

How does it work?

Invoker is one of the hardest heroes to master in Dota 2. With 9 spells in total, it’s easy to see why so many people give up on him very early on. However, once you learn how to play with him, he can easily rip through the enemy lineups like a knife through butter.

The combo that we’re going to take a look at today can be done once Invoker gets at least two of the following items - Aghanim’s Scepter and a Refresher Orb. In other words, this combo can only work during the later stages of the game.

Although it can be hard, playing late-game Invoker is one of the best feelings in the world. You have the potential to do so much damage that it’s easy to blast your enemies. With that said, you can do as much as 2400 damage to all enemies using two of your spells - Cataclysm and Deafening Blast.

Using your spells properly

Once you get the Aghanim’s Scepter, it will give you the ability Cataclysm. It basically “spawns” two Sunstrikies near each unit, which means that you can do up to 1000+ pure damage. However, hitting your enemies is a bit hard because they can always just move and dodge it. 

That’s where Deafening Blast kicks in. When used, this ability kind of “dazzles” your enemies, which allows you to easily hit them with Cataclysm.

Here is all the rotation you have to do:

• Cold Snap
• Deafening Blast -> Cataclysm
• Refresher Orb -> Cataclysm
  

You can also add some Chaos Meteors in the way for even more damage.
