Thanks to fan feedback, Valve decided to increase the Dota 2 Battle Pass leveling speed. The developer announced the news in an official Steam post yesterday, which is a part of the most recent update.
The feedback received from the community stated that leveling up the Battle Pass this year felt like it took longer than last year. However, Valve shared statistics contrary to the claim. As it turns out, most players had earned 1.95% more free levels than last year, while those that were below level 200 after a week had gained 7.91% more. It’s possible that with the coronavirus pandemic hanging over the world like a dark cloud, many players are finding it harder to level up or just feel that way.
The new update has Sideshop gold for Recycling and Guild Contracts increased by 65% and 100%, respectively. Guild contract battle point rewards have also increased by 100% while wagering battle point rewards increased by 50%. These are considerable adjustments to Battle Pass rewards that should have fans smiling once more.
