Don’t miss Douyu Thunder Fire Cup finals in WarCraft 3 tomorrow

It’s so nice to know that an ancient esports behemoth like WarCraft 3 is still alive and kicking with players from all over the world competing in big events. A Chinese tournament called Douyu Thunder Fire Cup is taking place now, and it has been filled with thrilling games.

There are only two series left in the tournament – the finals and the games to decide the third-place finisher.

In the games to decide the third-place finisher, a Ukrainian rising star named Foggy (Night Elf) is facing a Chinese old-school champion Infi (Human) representing team Rogue Warriors. Foggy is a player of a younger generation who started his active competitive career in 2015.

In the finals series, another Chinese superstar TH000 (Human) is facing Korean player Moon (Night Elf). Both players have a long history together, in fact, TH000 became famous after he defeated Moon in 2008 in the finals of a big tournament.

Moon is probably the most experienced veteran RTS player in the tournament. Between 2010 and 2012 he made a brief detour into StarCraft 2, where he competed in prestigious Korean leagues GSL and GSTL, as well as multiple international events such as IEM and DreamHack.
