DMC5 has more FPS on pirated versions

It's a well-known and proven fact that Denuvo, the anti-piracy DRM software, tears your CPU usage apart. Games truly run faster and better without this system, but no one wants to be pirated, do they? Still, some players noticed a pretty interesting thing about the recently released Devil May Cry 5.

If you want to remove Denuvo from your Steam-version of DMC5, just hit the community page to get rid of this software and have a better working game. It looks like you might boost the game's performance up to 20 frames per second! So low FPS is not the problem of optimization, because once you have 90 frames instead of 70 only with the DRM system turned off — it's the developers desire to protect their product. And the funny thing: the .exe file was found within a public branch of Steam — so it's not a pirated version. We think that Capcom has just forgotten to update the QA tester's file version. 

Eurogamer's Digital Foundry confirms the assumption on FPS droppings. The investigation concluded that Denuvo uses almost 10% of your CPU which leads to lowerings of the game's performance. To be fair, not everyone can notice these droppings, because, as we have mentioned above, DMC5 has quite a good optimization for a console-oriented game.
