Divinity 2 developers are working on the new project

Divinity 2 was an outstanding game. It was enhanced and modded in so many ways already and Larian (the company behind Divinity series, Ketnet Kick and Adventure Rock) could have kept the list of improvements going. However, Swen Vincke the company founder knows when it is time to go and start the new project. After the Definitive Edition was published in steam he stated:

“It’s not as if we didn’t talk about adding new quests or a new origin character, but we only have so much time in our lives and there’s only that many things we can make. We’ve already put a lot of effort into improving what’s there. People forget that these are three-year endeavours for us, and when you think about your lifecycle, you start counting how many you can make. It’s not that many. That’s why we need to move on and make new stuff.”

After a short period of time, Larian studios has released a huge final update, fixing all the bugs, adding some new cool stuff and leaving some “shortcuts” untouched.

For now, the new game Larian studios are currently working at is a mystery. Some say they are working on the Divinity 3, some think it is going to be a brand new title. Whenever they are working at, Larian studios is a respected game developer with high moral standards, making games for gamers, not for a profit. So, we are sure that the new project is going to be qualitative and super fun. We wish them all the best and hope to hear about their new game as soon as possible.
