Dirty Bomb is going free in the face of death ⚡⚡⚡ Esports and gaming news, analytics, reviews on WePlay! The latest news on WePlay!

Dirty Bomb has had enough. Last year the studio behind the game announced that the active development and support for the title was going to end. Sadly, the game was claimed unsuccessful, thus further development could not be justified financially.

The latest official blog post marks another step in Dirty Bomb's inevitable journey to death and oblivion. To cut the story short, Dirty Bomb simply goes absolutely free. Soon you'll be able to download the full game without paying a single penny, and all the microtransactions and monetization system will be removed. You'll get the chance to experience literally everything in the game. RADs are being removed from the game either, and those who still have this in-game currency will get their wallets converted into simple non-premium Credits with a fixed exchange rate.

All the additional content, including various skins, will be therefore obtainable just by playing the game. The Credit earn rate has been almost tripled so that everyone gets the chance to gather enough currency to buy the stuff of interest. There're also a lot of themed and seasonal things being reintroduced, so it's a great opportunity to catch on something you might've missed.

The aforementioned update goes live next Tuesday, January 15, and the additional information can be found through here.
