Team Dignitas has won the EU Summer Regional #1 with a 3-0 win over
mYinsanity, punching their ticket to the Summer Global Championship at DreamHack Summer. Dignitas is the first EU representative to qualify.

Despite disappointing pre-tournament results, the team ran through the bracket at Leicester, UK, with an undefeated 10-0 game score to claim the $25,000 grand prize.

Unlike the Spring Regional, only Dignitas will qualify for DreamHack Summer at this event. The winner of EU Summer Regional #2, set to take place at DreamHack Tours, will join Dignitas in Jönköping, Sweden.

For the second consecutive regional, the Grand Finals came down to a showdown between mYi and Dignitas. But as before, Dignitas showed that they were the superior team with strong drafts and in-game decision-making.

A narrow finish in Game 2 on Sky Temple seemed to take a big toll on mYinsanity, who may have been able to stage a defense of their core if not for Dignitas' stubborn refusal to allow them to disengage from the top lane and return to their Hall of Storms.

Despite the Grand Finals rematch and the similar outcome, this is a Team Dignitas that seems even stronger than at the Spring Regional. The individual members of the roster have combined their strengths and experiences into what is now, at least for the moment, the indisputable champion of Europe.
