In a recent video posted on YouTube and Twitter, Dignitas CEO Michael "Prindi" Prindiville announced the team's intent to field a new CS:GO roster.
The organisation has been keeping an eye on the scene since their departure from it and have now decided to make their comeback. As a result, they're asking all "hungry players" to contact them, so together they can build a new CS:GO dynasty.
Known as Team Dignitas at the time, the organisation dropped its male CS:GO team on August 29, 2018. This occurred right after they were relegated from the ESL Pro League.
Mentioning their recent success in League of Legends after acquiring Clutch Gaming, Prindi hopes to recreate similar results in CS:GO with this new squad. In the case of LoL, they qualified for the League of Legends World Championship after defeating Team SoloMid in the NA qualifier.
Dignitas' history in CS:GO stretches as far back as 2006. While active they attended five Major's and have fielded great teams with talented players like Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and René "cajunb" Borg. It's female team which was established in July 2016, has been doing relatively well. An example of this is their consistent top 2 finish at Intel Challenge Katowice since 2017.
The CS:GO esports scene continues to grow rapidly, with new circuits like ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier 2020 bringing even more excitement to the coming months.
