Some of the players who take part in Battlefield 5 Open Beta voiced their concerns about small size of the maps that doesn’t really on par with maps in previous parts of the shooter. DICE’s reaction didn’t keep them waiting, the devs responded to complaints saying the work on large-scale maps is in full swing. They even promise to make locations 9 miles (1,5 km) long and more.
One of the maps is already public as lead designer of multiplayer mode, Valerian Nogin, shared some images of Hamada.
DICE’s level designer Jeff Gagne also joined the conversation.
BFV creators shared a list of changes they plan to introduce in main game based on beta feedback. Distance scaling and lighting fixes will make enemies more noticeable and automatic weapons will be rebalanced in order to make shootings as honest and fun as possible.”
The list of planned changes is published on Reddit but we got to wait for the details from DICE’s official announcement.
Battlefield 5 will be out on November 20.
